Who is Tony Horton?
Tony Horton is the creator of P90X and your personal trainer. What is P90X?
P90X is a complete home fitness system designed to get you in the best shape of your life.
What does it consist of?
You get a complete set of workouts on 12 DVDs, a 3-phase Nutrition Plan that tells you what to eat for best results, and plenty of instruction and motivational support.
What makes P90X so effective?
An advanced training technique called Muscle Confusion™. Many fitness plans lead to "plateaus" where the body becomes accustomed to the routines, diminishing results. What kinds of exercises are included?

How much space will I need?

P90X is a powerful yet flexible program that can help you lose excess fat, gain lean muscle, prepare for athletic events, excel at sports, and improve your health. What if I want to focus on weight loss?
While the Classic P90X schedule is a great way to lose weight, if fat loss is your main goal you can choose the Lean schedule. You'll spend more time on cardio, so you'll burn away the fat even faster. This schedule is just as easy to follow, and is clearly described in your P90X Fitness Guide.
What if I want to train for high-performance sports or an endurance event?
If you want to supercharge your fitness, you can choose the Doubles schedule, which adds some extra daily cardio workouts to your P90X program. This is also great if you want to get really lean. Naturally, you need to be in good shape and injury-free to do this version. But if you're up for it, the results can be amazing.
Should I take nutritional supplements?
They aren't required, but they're recommended for optimal results. For instance, the P90X Results and Recovery Formula® will give you the exact ratio of protein to carbohydrates you need to replenish your muscles right after a strenuous workout.
How do I know if I'm ready for P90X?
P90X is an intense program, but it's also flexible, so people can start at different levels and work their way up. If you're pretty fit and are ready to put in the effort, you can probably do P90X.
If you haven't worked out in a while or aren't sure you're ready, we recommend you take the P90X Fit Test. (Of course, you should consult your doctor and read all safety instructions before beginning any fitness program.)
What if I want a less strenuous program?
If you decide you're not quite ready to tackle P90X yet but still want to get in amazing shape fast, we recommend starting with Power 90®. This program is strong on effectiveness without being extreme and the perfect way to get ready for P90X.
